Why do I need a building permit?

A building permit is required to ensure that any work being preformed is being done according to all

local and state regulations, and that the contractor / contractors are licensed professionals.

After a building permit is issued work will be inspected by the Borough to ensure it meets code and it

is installed correctly for your safety.
