What is single stream recycling?

Single stream recycling is new to the Borough starting in 2010. All recyclable material such as bottles, cans, plastics (#'s 1-7) and cardboard can be placed in the same container and will be picked up all together. Recycling will be picked up weekly, please see schedule below for your recycling day.

North: North side of Baldwin St. and North
Every Tuesday

Center: Lincoln St. to South side of Baldwin St.
Every Wednesday

South: Lincoln and Clark Streets and South
Every Friday

Accepted materials:

Aluminum Food and Beverage Containers:
Aluminum soda and beer cans, pet food cans, etc.

Glass Food and Beverage Containers:
Flint (Clear)
Amber (Brown)
Emerald (Green)

Ferrous Cans:
Tin/Steel soup, food, coffee cans, etc.

Plastic Containers with Symbols #1 through 7
Plastic containers of various colors

TETRA PAKS
Milk and fruit juice cartons

Newspaper, magazines and other paper product

Cardboard

I appreciate your past aricelts on financial implications and planning for the future and I'd read more. I found the book intriguing but also pretty heavy so I'm not sure what to make of it. So maybe book reviews of books like this would be useful.
