*DROP BOX – WHAT IS A DROP BOX?

A Secure Ballot Drop Box has been provided by the Essex County Clerk’s office and has been placed in front of the Glen Ridge Municipal Complex at 825 Bloomfield Avenue.  These secure Drop Boxes are located throughout Essex County to provide residents another voting option.  All residents are encouraged to utilize the Drop Box to cast their official vote by mail ballot.  The Drop Box is monitored by security camera 24 hours a day and ballots are picked up by the County daily.

WHAT IS A PROVISIONAL BALLOT?

A provisional ballot is a paper ballot used to cast your vote  It will look very similar to your vote by mail ballot.  Provisional ballots are counted after the election when it has been determined you have not already voted by mail.
