To all Glen Ridge Residents and Our Neighbors:

This past Wednesday evening fireworks were set off during a fundraiser at the Glen Ridge Country Club. The event was supervised by the Montclair Fire Department, which also provided the fireworks permit. The Borough has received numerous thoughtful letters and emails complaining about the event.

The Mayor and Council and Public Safety Department believe the comments in the correspondence are fully justified. Please accept our apology for this disruption. Let me assure you that we are deeply committed to quality of life issues and have already taken steps and will take additional steps, in coming days, to ensure that this type of situation will not happen again.
